The Australian Primary Principals Association (APPA) is the national professional association for primary school principals in Australia. Teacher Quality Institute
For over a decade, the education profession in the ACT and nationally has been engaged in debate about the status of teaching and the need to support teachers in improving outcomes for students. In the ACT, consultation within the teaching profession, with government, with teacher educators, teacher unions and other professional organisations resulted in a call for an independent body to set standards, register teachers and promote professional learning.
